DANA AIR CRASH: THE AFTERMATH

The Dana air crash was an unfortunate accident and what a black Sunday it was. What with the  road accident that claimed lives and the bomb blast in Bauchi that left 12 dead. Ever since Sunday, there have been different stories popping up here and there. There were insinuations the Airport was closed for an upwards of 2 hours for the Ist lady, another suggests nothing of that sort could happen. 3 days of mourning was declared and thankfully, the black box from the wrecked plane was found and may help in investigating the cause of the crash. The Nigeria's civil aviation authority has grounded all Dana Air's aeroplanes and their license suspended. The plane tore through roofs, sheared a mango tree and rammed into a woodworking studio, a printing press and at least two apartment buildings before stopping. What is worrying is after 3 days, no one can really say how many lives were lost on ground apart from the 153 that were aboard the ill-fated flight.

May the souls of the departed rests in peace and may the almighty God grant those who lost dear ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
