About time: jail for wearing low slung trousers!

Honestly, this couldn't have come any sooner. Sometimes walking down the road, we are tempted to ask some boys (and in some cases, grown men) to pull up their trousers as they are worn so low. Why we would want to see your underwear in public we often wonder?

A US man was sentenced to three days in prison after turning up to court wearing low-slung baggy jeans. It has long been acknowledged that trousers which only reach the mid-thigh are guilty of a range of style crimes, however Alabama Judge John Bush ruled that the 20-year-old's jeans were so low that they were actually in contempt of court.

Why not just take it off and drag it on the floor behind him?
The angry judge ordered LaMarcus D Ramsey to spend three days in jail on account of his outerwear, after he arrived in court to enter a plea on a charge of receiving stolen property. Ruling that he was in contempt of court for showing his bottom in the courtroom, The Montgomery Advertiser said that Bush told Ramsey: "When you get out you can buy pants that fit, or at least get a belt to hold up your pants so your underwear doesn’t show.”

Ridiculous!
