The wicked father


We can't comprehend what makes some parents hurt their kids physically and emotionally. That is exactly what a 33-year old man did by pouring hot water on his daughter’s genital area, damaging part of her vagina, for eating some soup. This incident occurred in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.

The girl is currently undergoing treatment while the father Mr. Solarin Muyiwa, has been arrested by the Social Welfare Department of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, WAPA, and will be arraigned in court soon. The most disturbing thing is that the girl's step-mum confirmed her husband asked her to boil the water which was used to perpetrate this heinous act. Can she do that to her own child? What a wicked world we live in. We contemplated posting the picture- if it was ethical or not- but the only way to fully comprehend the extent of the girl's injuries is to see the picture.

There is a manhole in front of you lady! Well it is in a town in the US. We do love a good laugh you know. Some of the laws that are passed in a lot of countries are so funny, but some are just plain balmy. Though this makes a lot of sense but its still just funny. It is now an offence to walk while you are texting (or sexting as the case may be) in Fort Lee, New Jersey, for about a month now and already the local police department has issued 117 tickets at $85 per offence after 20 accidents were caused by distracted pedestrians texting and strolling across the road. So if you are ever in Fort Lee, New Jersey and caught walking on the sidewalk and texting (this includes tweeting, BBM and any other form of textings), you will be charged with 'Reckless walking' and a fine of $85.
