Appalling: Thug throws acid on African woman pushing baby in a pram

Racism was something we thought was made extinct by the world turning global. In this age and day, its really appalling that some one can still be racist. A 29-year-old mother was pushing her baby in a pram through the subway on Broad Street in Pendleton, Salford, at 2pm last Thursday, when she was approached by a man in his 40s.  He then threw a corrosive liquid at her. The African woman suffered burns to her chest and back. Her baby narrowly avoided injury in the attack and police have now issued an e-fit of the man they think was responsible.

The thug had made sexual and racist comments to her before she felt liquid on her back and turned around to see the man holding a plastic container, he then threw more liquid onto her chest before running off towards Broad Street.

Why was the idiot walking about with acid? It shows he had intent to commit a crime before he came across the poor lady.

The attacker was white, stocky, 5ft 10 to 6ft 2, and had very short dark hair with a straight hair line and a bald patch at the back. He also had blue eyes, a dimple in his chin and a red burn mark on his bottom lip. His skin was peeling around his cheeks and he had stubble.  At the time of the attack the offender wore a long-sleeved dark grey jumper with a round neck, black tracksuit bottoms with a grey and white stripe down each leg and black Adidas trainers. He spoke with a 'British' accent.
