$425,000!!! Stolen by Togolese cook!

A cook made off with $425,000, equivalent of N68 million from his employers @ Femi Okunu Estate Lagos, Nigeria. His guarantors identified as Iredia Reuben, a security guard and Favour Ezekiel, were arrested by the police as the cook could not be found.

The guarantors who stood for Togolese Alex Flole Timo, when he got his job claimed they didn’t know his whereabouts or anything about the missing money.

The guarantors were charged to court for conspiracy and stealing and have been moved to the Ikoyi and Kirikiri Prisons; as they could not come up with the bail terms of  N100,000 with two sureties each in like sum, who must show proof of tax payment to the Lagos State government.

The lady of the house claims her husband gave the money to her to keep, she went out and on returning, the cook and the money had varnished. Can I just ask why keep that kinda obscene amount of money @ home? Just saying.

There is a manhole in front of you lady! Well it is in a town in the US. We do love a good laugh you know. Some of the laws that are passed in a lot of countries are so funny, but some are just plain balmy. Though this makes a lot of sense but its still just funny. It is now an offence to walk while you are texting (or sexting as the case may be) in Fort Lee, New Jersey, for about a month now and already the local police department has issued 117 tickets at $85 per offence after 20 accidents were caused by distracted pedestrians texting and strolling across the road. So if you are ever in Fort Lee, New Jersey and caught walking on the sidewalk and texting (this includes tweeting, BBM and any other form of textings), you will be charged with 'Reckless walking' and a fine of $85.
