Two western journalists killed in Syria
Marie Colvin
Two Western journalists, including Marie Colvin of the Sunday Times, have
been killed in an attack in the Syrian city of Homs.
The second was named as French photojournalist Remi Ochlik, who was also
killed in an attack which is said to have targeted an opposition safehouse. Just last week Marie attended the funeral of some of the people killed recently by the Syrian government. She was a very dedicated journalist who lost the sight in one eye while reporting in Sri Lanka in 2001.
This is such sad news. When will the killings stop? When there is no one left to govern? Power really does intoxicate. May the souls of the departed rest in peace.
