The Brits Awards

The Brits award which is the equivalent of the British Grammys took place tonight. It was a night of glitz, glamour and Adele again! She won six Grammys just last week. Shame she has said she will be taking a 5 year break, but she is a very sensible girl and only just recovering from a throat surgery. Plus she's young!!!! Top performances tonight includes: Adele, Blur and Rihanna.

Best Female: Adele
Best International Male: Bruno Mars
Best Single: One Direction 'What Makes You Beautiful'
Best international Female: Rihanna
British Male: Ed Sheeran
Best British Group: Coldplay
Best International Group: Foo Fighters
Best Breakthrough Artist: Ed Sheeran
Best International Breakthrough Act: Lana Del Rey
Outstanding Contribution to music: Blur
British Album of the year: Adele (21) in the top ten since January 2011.

There is a manhole in front of you lady! Well it is in a town in the US. We do love a good laugh you know. Some of the laws that are passed in a lot of countries are so funny, but some are just plain balmy. Though this makes a lot of sense but its still just funny. It is now an offence to walk while you are texting (or sexting as the case may be) in Fort Lee, New Jersey, for about a month now and already the local police department has issued 117 tickets at $85 per offence after 20 accidents were caused by distracted pedestrians texting and strolling across the road. So if you are ever in Fort Lee, New Jersey and caught walking on the sidewalk and texting (this includes tweeting, BBM and any other form of textings), you will be charged with 'Reckless walking' and a fine of $85. Happy texting!
